National Coordination Mechanism

Explaining Australia's crisis management systems.

2025

Screencraft brought me on to design and deliver a high-tech 3D explainer video for the National Emergency Management Authority. The brief called for something sleek and futuristic, packed with high-tech UI elements that could clearly communicate a complex idea in an engaging way. The video focuses on the National Coordination Mechanism, represented as a collapsible sphere—a visual metaphor for how different government agencies come together to coordinate responses to crises as they arise.

I was responsible for every stage of the project, from storyboarding and conceptual design to animation and rendering. The design process involved crafting intricate UI elements and ensuring the animation brought the central metaphor to life in a visually compelling way. The final result was a polished, dynamic explainer video that combined futuristic visuals with a clear and accessible narrative.
